Two People Were Killed By FSars In Rivers State

The Federal Anti-Robbery Squad (FSAR) yesterday killed two youths at Rumuosi in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State during a funeral.

The incident occurred during the funeral of Aleruchi Woko, who was killed by an army personnel during a protest over the flooding of the community in November last year.

Trouble started when some Nkpolu youths went to a morgue in neighbouring Rumuosi Community to take Woko’s corpse for burial.

An eyewitness at Rumuosi disclosed before the corpse was taken away, some youths started robbing people, which caused FSAR operatives in the area to open fire on them.

The shooting enraged the youths who then went on rampage, vandalising and looting shops, even as they also inflicted machete cuts on some persons.

As soon as they returned to Nkpolu to commence the funeral, the FSAR stormed the community and started shooting sporadically into the air, causing people to scamper for safety.

Are the FSARS right or at good hand killing two people? Drop a comment...
